Here's a list of what Iv'e done to the car and truck.

1987 Firebird Formula
I bought the car bone stock when i turned 16. The first motor I built for it consisted of mainly a stock rebuild of the shortblock. Stock crank, rods and Keith Black pistons. I put an LT4 Hot cam in it with 1.6 full rollers. It had a miniram on it as well. It ran pretty good NA, turning some high 12s. THen two summers ago i decided to build my own twin turbo setup. I fabricated my own headers from s10 headers and got two junkyard T03's. I put thick copper headgaskets on to lower the compression a little and that was basically all i did to the motor. I then added DFI and took it to St. Louis to Turbo Connection to get it tuned. That's a story in itself...me and my buddy trailer it down there and leave it for a week. The guy that has the car calls in the middle of the week and says one of my turbos is bad. We live in central indiana and the cars in St. Louis. I find a used T03 on the internet and have it shipped to St. Louis NEXT DAY AIR. We skip college classes and drive down there the next day and put the turbo on in the middle of the night out in the parking lot with only hand tools we brought in a 5 gallon bucket. We got it all back together by the next morning and it dyno'd 432 RW hp that day on only 8 lbs of boost!
This years combo is totally different. I sold the old shortblock and built a 4 bolt main 383. I started with a 010 4 bolt block and put in 6" eagle h beam rods with a scat crank and JE 8.33:1 pistons. The heads are AFR 190cc o-ringed pieces with 1.6 roller rockers. The cam is a Kenny Dutweiller custom ground hydarulic flat tappet. I didn't have the cash to go solid roller but I will in the near future. The intake is a carb converted to FI piece. IT's an accel carb base with injector bosses in the runners. I made my own 3" stainless elbow to put a 75mm accufab mustang TB on it. It's also equipped with a turbonetics godzilla blow off valve. The turbo is a PT-72 and two deltagates are used to keep boost under control. The car has a Ford 9" rear with 3.89s in it with southside lift bars for added traction. I just switched from DFI to FAST and am currently tuning it. THe only time i had the car to the track with the DFI and the new combo it was runnign pretty bad in the upper rpm and it went 11.40 at 120 mph. That was on about 13 lbs. I was doing 100 mph in the 1/8! I only gained 20 mph in teh second 1/8. That's how bad it was running in the upper rpm; spitting and sputtering pretty bad...but enough to put the moppin's on a 20 year olds 2000 vette :) He stoped at the end of the turnaround and rolled down his window and looked me and said "GOD DAMN".

I just got this truck and am currently working on it. When i got it, it was totally stock. It's got a 345 with headers and 2 chambers, a 4 bbl intake and a holley 600; all of which I put on it. It's got a dana 44 front axle with a 202 transfer case and a corporate 14 bolt chevy rear axle. I put rancho shocks on it all the way around, along with lifting it about 4" all the way around. The tires are 36x12.50 goodyear military units. It's a coyote hunting machine!
